"Appellations are celebrating their European centenary – it was a good idea that has aged badly. Today we see that nothing is respected anymore: mechanization is common, while vineyards are being industrialized to obtain a varietal taste rather than an expression of terroir. The word 'origin' has completely disappeared," argues Liber Pater owner Loic Pasquet. He produces very expensive wines and keeps his offer limited.
